This page describes those Galaxy utilities and objects that hot-n-GUI makes freely available to licensed Galaxy developers. This software is supplied "As Is" and is not officially supported. You are free to incorporate it into your applications as long as you do not attempt to be sneaky and attempt sell them as your own without adding significant value.

In order to keep download times to a minimum these files only contain the source code required to build a sample program that illustrates the major features of the objects. The makefiles are not complete for all possible platforms, so please bear with me...

Peek	C, C++	Unix C++ TAR format, NT C++ ZIP format, Unix C ZIP format, NT C ZIP format	The C version has not been updated for Galaxy 2.5 yet, but should work none the less.
HTREE	C++	Unix TAR format, NT ZIP format	These files contain the original version of htree along with an additional version called "outliner" which was developed and donated by Jean-Francois Allot (jfallot@infovista.fr).
HTREE	C	Unix TAR format, NT ZIP format	These files contain a rewrite of the original htree source code into Galaxy/C. It was developed and donated by Eric MIRAVETE (miravete@attol-testware.com). A note from Eric: We have added a function to insert a little icon at right of the '+' or '-' symbol (like win95/NT tree) to an htree item. It's name is: htreeitemSetImage (htreeitem item, vimage img)

Peek

Available for Galaxy C and C++ this small library allows developers to view events as they are sent to their application. It can make debugging event related problems significantly easier to diagnose.

Peek has been compiled and used on all Galaxy platforms without requiring any code changes. It has been instrumental in helping many developers not only debug their applications but also in helping them better understand Galaxy events.

HTREE

The htree object allows your application to display a hierarchical list of data. The htree object and its supporting objects make it easy to display text or graphically oriented information.
